Looking. Learning. Creating.

Art Compass offers a unique way off learning about art through a combination of Looking, Learning and Making. Combining focused and guided museum and gallery visits with corresponding lessons Art Compass deepens the understanding of historical and contemporary art movements and then teaches art lessons in the context of this viewing. After visiting the exhibitions, AC will create art lessons based on what we have looked at. This is a great way to understand and learn about art in a personal way.

Customized to your Artistic Journey

Guided Museum and Gallery tours. Art Compass, will guide you on a customized field trip to local museums and art galleries. This program will be constructed around your interests. Using the exhibit as the class room, AC will guide you in exploring the history, culture and concerns of historical and contemporary art. Individuals and groups.

This approach combines art history, contemporary issues, content and material decisions and techniques, exhibition choices and art making.

This is a great way to learn about looking at art, talking about art, appreciating art and making art. It is done in the presence or the actual objects and hands on in the creation of art projects. Whether you are experienced and looking to refine or expand your art appreciation and practice or if you are a beginner looking to start your journey of exploration.
